I would like a use for it. I'm not ordering a replacement battery compartment, NOT offering it on E Bay for $five, and NOT just throwing it out. Just asking yourself if any individual has some Resourceful idea maybe to turn it into a base scanner, or fitting it into some weird gadget. Bottom line, it works on AC, and I don't want to toss it out. Si
